Direct-Seed Planting

Hey All!

We can begin direct-seed planting in some of the rows tomorrow as we wait to do transplants after the 20th (actual last frost date). Please remember to bring some seeds you would like to start planting. We’ll keep track of what we plant using some of the print outs Teal brought last week.

For an additional activity, we’ve also got the wood-chip pile to disperse. They smell strongly of pine, and not all plants like the acidity of pine trees, so I’ve used them in the bottom parts of our rows, and now for walkways. I’ve been slowly accumulating cardboard as a weed barrier.
