Liberty Park Community Garden 🌱
Part of the Global Gardens Program
The Liberty Park Community Garden is dedicated to gardeners growing food for their families and communities rather than for commercial production. With around 120 plots and a wide range of global communities represented, it’s a vibrant, bustling space where you’ll see a remarkable diversity of crops and production techniques. 🌍
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are welcome to join on Water Days (typically Mondays) to help keep the irrigation furrows open. This task ensures even water distribution across the site. It involves work with a shovel in muddy conditions, but it’s not overly labor-intensive. This typically lasts throughout the day.
