Operation Salsa
Garden Logistics
Plan as of 3/11/21
For your consideration:
The exciting part!
What shall we plant and where?!!
According to the lunar planting guide we should
start seeds for above-ground plants on Monday 3/15!
How often do our plant types need water?
What is the range needed for our sprinklers?
How many feet of irrigation supply is needed?
What can we collect for the hügel rows?
To do this... we first have manure to relocate, and/or redistribute around the rest of the space.
If we want to address the weeds in the larger part of the garden space, now is a very good time to get hold of some weed suppressing tarps.
Cheryl from Seeds of Hope garden is helping us out with irrigation line and some hügel row contents 3/11/21. I’ll see if she has any spare tarps, but this is also a good item to budget for.
We may also be able to get some recompense from area gardeners who’d be interested in using our tarps later.
Please see the Basecamp post from 3/11/21 for the in-progress supply budget. Please note, there are options for seeking donated, used tools and supplies, but in the interest of time in the season, we may need to request a budget.
