Onions - with succession planting

Cilantro - if started indoors during high-heat days

Beans

Peppers

Winter Squash - many area gardeners struggled with squash bugs. We are getting discouraged with winter squash but had luck with a hybrid Kabocha from Edwards in 2024, and the African Squash seems resilient to them. It also keeps well, it’s easy to cut, and has a hint of melon flavor. MK saved seeds from a Global Gardens squash in 2021 and direct seeds them randomly each season. In 24 the one that started got a bit taken over by the Kabocha!

Corn

Watermelon

Muskmelon

Potatoes - Excellent performer in our garden, we love potatoes!

Sweet potatoes - Getting better every year! They do NOT like sunflowers.

Cabbage

Various lettuce

Various mustard greens

Kale

Mint

Basil - various

Oregano

Cover crops do exceptionally well throughout the season!
